As mentioned earlier, the furniture begins to arrive this week and then final inspections next week, so we are t-minus 2 weeks (anyone remember that?)

Beginning of May status

Things have progressed nicely with renovated space and you'll see it is starting to have a cleaner finished look.  Next week will be some housekeeping and taking care of loose ends, then the week of May 13th will begin the furniture install. After the furniture is installed there will be a final inspection and punch list follow-up so move in is not planned until right after Memorial Day.  Its important not to move anything into this space before we are given the all clear, but that day is coming.
This is the front wall with drops and paint.

This is the corner which will house digital projects.

New counter space for food stuffs.

The previously alluded to mancave, but we know that's not true!

This is the look of the offices and conference room.

And this is the EXIT door the the egress path that is only to be used in emergencies.......

......part of the path moving through the Annex into archives.

I understand there will be an Open House, can't wait!!!

New wiring going in place

Each day brings us closer to finishing the ERIT project.  This is NOT a mancave, but will be the ERIT workroom for the hardware activity that needs to take place.  This is the materials currently in room 64 downstairs next to the bindery that will be converted into a training room with grant money for digital literacy training.

Thus the need for extra wiring that is being run from ERIT into the IT closet in room 216.  This is pulling wires above Darinlee's desk.

This is the conduit installed to move the additional wiring into the IT closet.

And this is the hub they are going to:

Painting has begun

Painting has begun in the ERIT suite and you will notice that the colors are similar to the colors on the third floor in SCUA.  This was by design so that the building will have a consistant look in renovated areas.
